San Climente, Minorca

Sant Climent lies within the Region of Maó and is situated at about 4 Km southwest of the latter. It was founded during the 14th century in the “Mussupta” region, a label that has its origins in Arabic. Its 19th century church is located at the entrance to the village, in the main square. Sant Climent is a very small village, dedicated in the main to farmland, yet represents a surprising cross-section of cultures.
